The end of marathon May

This month have been doing marathon May in support of the british heart foundation the children have been spending lots of time outdoors climbing up and down the c, imbing frame, running around fhe garden, throwing, kicking and rolling tge balls and taking part in weekly walks to celebrate the end of the maraton May the children wore red or sports wear.

Week beginning 16.5.16...

This week we have been reading the book 'Dear Zoo'. We have been naming the animals, making animal sounds and repeating the phrases from the book. We have some wooden animals to match together and count and some picture cards to match as well.

Millie enjoyed wearing the purple scarf on her head!

Jordan played catch in the garden with Nicola.

Jon-Junior enjoyed his Monday afternoon at nursery, especially exploring the ball and throwing it!

Our week in the 0-2 room.

Throughout the week the children have been using their hands to explore the paint and create handprint marks on paper to help make a birthday card for the queen.

We have also been doing letters and sounds choosing objects from our ryhme bag to represent our faveourite rhymes.

Payge chose the spider so we all sang Incey wincy spider.

Evie and jack chose the ducks - 5 little ducks went swimming one day.

Some of the children enjoyed exploring the dough using lollypop sticks to poke holes In the dough and squeezing the dough with their hands.

Sleep time...

After playing and exploring at nursery we do sometimes get quite tired so we need to have a rest! As some of us are getting bigger, we go to sleep on the foam beds instead of in the cots, and we are in good routines of laying down on our own and resting. Some of us enjoy Nicola or Charlotte being alongside us before we drift off to sleep, and sometimes we will bring in our own blankets from home for sleep time too. We listen to some calming music at rest time and do enjoy this time of day!
