1 of our favourite things... Playing in the shaving foam!

Chloe and Alicia had fun on Wednesday afternoon when they played with the shaving foam. This is one of our favourite things in the 0-2 room!

Chloe felt the texture on her hands and looked closely at the foam.

Alicia squelched her hand together to feel the foam and she watched as it seeped through her hand.

Chloe's hand and fingers were covered in foam, she then put them together!

Then Chloe smelt the foam!

Alicia chose to scoop some sand using a small spoon from the sand tray and add it to the foam to see what happens.

Christmas fun!

With it being the first week in December, the children in the 0-2 room have started to learn lots about Christmas. On Tuesday Missy, Ellie and Bailey played in the sand tray and explored the star sequins and different textured Christmas decorations.

Ellie enjoyed holding up the Star decoration whilst we sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. 'Star!' She commented.

Missy collected all of the decorations together in a pile before selecting a bucket and filling it up before emptying all of the objects into the sand tray again.

Bailey crawled excitedly over to the tray to see what was inside. She then used the tray to pull herself up to stand!

Bailey held the star up as we sang Twinlke Twinlke Little Star.

Stacking Snowman and Penguin

As it is now winter time, the children in the baby room have been learning about the cold weather and wrapping up warm to go outside in the garden. We've been using language such as 'scarf', 'gloves', 'hat', 'snow', 'cold' and 'frosty'. This week Bailey, Kailee and Missy have been exploring the stacking Snowman and stacking Penguin. They explored the different shaped and sized pieces using their fine motor skills, turning the pieces around in their hands and changing the way they hold the pieces to make them fit back onto the stand. Bailey enjoyed holding the pieces in the air and throwing them a short distance before saying 'Oh oh'. Kailee spent a while exploring the Penguin stacker, she took each piece off the stand before adding pieces back onto the stand carefully, sometimes mixing the pieces from each stacker. Missy enjoyed holding the Snowmans hat and put it on her head. 'Hat' she commented.
