Sensory room
Bailey-Star, Brooke and Missy visited the sensory room on Wednesday afternoon. Bailey-Star enjoyed cruising around the room using the low soft play and was excited when moving so quickly her feet! Missy enjoyed wearing the beads around her neck and exploring the den, mirrors and what sounds the musical instruments made. Brooke hid behind the bubble tube and enjoyed feeding balls down the ball tube too. We had so much fun!
Missy and Brooke hid in the den. 'Boo' Brooke said!
Brooke and Missy peep at each other from behind the bubble tube.
Missy explored the sensory wall and turned the lights on and off.

Another busy week!
This week Bailey-Star has been using the walker to move across the room. She enjoys pulling herself up at low furniture to stand and her confidence is gaining day by day when being on her feet. Clever girl Bailey-Star!!!
Evie has learnt to roll from her back to front and vice versa over the last few weeks. What a clever girl!!! She can rest on her arms and lift her head up to see what's going on and reach toys around her.

Reading Stories
Bailey, Brooke and Missy sat to read some stories on the soft cushions on Wednesday afternoon.
Bailey read a book about a birthday cake and she used her fingers to lift the flaps to see if she could find the hidden cake.
Bailey then enjoyed looking at an animal book. We looked at the pictured of the ducks and sang 5 Little Ducks before Bailey found a page with all of the animals on and pointed at some of them. We then made the animal sounds.
Brooke read a story about what we might find in the garden. Brooke turned the pages on her own and pointed to the cat and dog, she then found the paddling pool. We used the word 'splash' for the water.
Missy was excited when reading the stories. She first read one about food and pointed to the objects whilst asking 'what's that'?
Missy then read a small picture book. We created the sounds of the objects she identified such as 'choo choo' for the train.
